Bimetallic switches "opener" type "normally closed"

If overheating occurs, bimetallic switches of the “break contact” type promptly open the load circuit. After appropriate cooling, the bimetallic disc returns automatically to its original position and restores contact. Standard types of production series C01/C06 and S01/S06 are available as “NC”.

The temperature monitors are installed in aluminium screw-in housings and potted in epoxy resin on the connection side. This type of bimetallic switch is used to screw in heat sinks, carbon brush holders, transformer plates, etc.

Bimetallic switches are available in various specific designs. EPHY-MESS develops customized sensors upon request. Thus, temperature sensors can be inserted in metal sleeves with diameter starting with interior diameters from 10mm, or built into a variety of different screw-in housings.
